How Museum Wax and Museum Gel Works

Museum Wax and Museum Gel is very easy-to-use, it can be applied in minutes and will secure your glassware, ornaments or collectables to a shelf or to the floor. Museum Wax and Gel will not leave a stain or mark and is entirely reusable.

Simply follow these steps to secure your collectables and valuables from accidental knocks:

STEP 1

First, clean the bottom of the object that you wish to secure and also the surface to which it will be adhered. Make sure the surfaces are dry before you apply Museum Wax or Museum Gel.

Then, remove small pieces of wax from the container and make them into balls.

STEP 2

Apply these small pieces of wax to the bottom of the object. A piece of wax every 3 or 4 inches of the circumference of the object will be sufficient.

Now, place the object onto the surface and push down gently. Check that the object is secure by carefully trying to push it from side-to-side.

STEP 4

Your object should now be secure and resistant to knocks or sudden movement.

If you wish to move your object to a better location, or wish to remove it entirely, the best way to do this is to twist the object either clockwise or anti clockwise and then lift up. The bottom of the object can be scraped clean. To prevent scratching do this carefully with a wooden implement. To remove all traces of the wax from either the object or the surface you can use white spirit.
